Support the Movement
For nearly a decade, Gals That Brunch has operated with zero paid staffโ 100% volunteer-led, fueled solely by vision, grit, and the unwavering belief that community should never be a luxury.
Weโve built something extraordinary. What began with a few women around a table has grown into a global movement with over 150 chapters, 225,000+ members around the worldโall while keeping things as accessible, inclusive, and life-giving as possible.
Weโve never asked for much. But the time has come to invite you in. Because what weโre building is bigger than us. And to go further, reach more women, and sustain the heart of this movementโwe need help.
Hereโs What Your Giving Makes Possible:
โ
Keep events low-cost or even free for women in all seasons of life
โ
Provide sponsorships to single moms, students, and women in transition
โ
Support small businesses through intentional partnerships
โ
Begin hiring part-time admin + leadership roles to strengthen infrastructure
โ
Grow with intention, excellence, and sustainability
Every dollar goes directly toward community-building, not profit. This has always been about impactโnot income. And your supportโwhether personal or through your companyโhelps us stay true to that mission.
If GTB has impacted youโฆ
If you believe in what weโre doingโฆ
Or if you simply want to see women around the world supported and seenโ we invite you to sow into the soil of something sacred.
Thank youโfor believing in this vision, for showing up, and for helping us build something that truly lasts.

SOME OF OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS .....

aka: the pep talk you didnโt know you needed
Heyyyyy sisstaaaaaa, soooooooul sistaaaaaaaโฆ
Where have you even been all our life?!?! ๐ฅนNo but really.
Letโs just go ahead and say the quiet part out loud:
Showing up is scary. Not just the logistical partโfinding parking, walking into a restaurant by yourself, scanning the crowd like โwho do I talk to?โ
But the emotional part, too.Thereโs a little inner monologue that plays on repeat when youโre trying to decide whether to click RSVP:
What if everyone already knows each other?
What if Iโm the only first timer?
What if no one talks to me?
What if I feel out of place?
What if Iโm too much?
What if Iโm not enough?
What if I get there, and itโs just... awkward?
Breathe, beauty.
You're not the only one who's thought these thoughts. In fact? At least 50% of the women attending any GTB event are thinking those exact same things.
And hereโs the math to prove it:โจ Roughly 40% of attendees are brand new.
โจ About 20% have been to 1 or 2 events.
โจ And 40% are returnersโaka the girls youโre probably worried already โknow everyone,โ but spoiler: theyโre usually the first to scoop you up and say, โSit with us!โWeโve had events with 10 women and events with 75โand every single time, thereโs a sacred mix of โme too,โ โIโve been there,โ and โyou can totally sit with me.โ
๐ก Hereโs our honest-to-goodness advice?
If youโre thinking of coming, come solo.
I know, I know. Itโs tempting to rally your girls (unless you met them through GTBโthatโs fair game ๐), but thereโs something really powerful about showing up on your own.
It stretches you.
It frees you from your comfort zone.
It opens your heart to people you may have never crossed paths with otherwise. When you come with friends, you often stay in the same little bubble of familiarity. But when you come solo? You get to write a brand new page in your storyโand it often starts with someone saying, โHi, Iโm so glad youโre here.โ
That saidโzero shame if you need to bring someone for moral support. We love new faces, however they get here. But if youโre on the fence about coming alone, this is your sign. ๐
๐ฏโโ๏ธ Whatโs the vibe?
Gals That Brunch was built on radical welcome.
That means everyone is encouraged to meet someone new. Whether youโre loud and bubbly, quiet and introverted, freshly heartbroken, wildly successful, or just figuring it all outโyouโre not just welcome hereโฆ
youโre wanted here. Our returners know what itโs like to be the new girl.
Theyโve stood in your shoes.
They are youโjust maybe a few brunches ahead.โจ Hereโs whatโs true:
You are worth knowing.
Not just for what you do or who you came withโbut for who you are.And if no oneโs told you latelyโ
You showing up is a miracle in motion. We often say around here: you are the gift.
Not the planner you bring. Not the outfit you wear. Not the highlight reel youโve polished. YOU.So often we wait for perfect timing, for someone to invite us, for life to calm down. But if we always waited for that, weโd never get the healing weโve been craving.
GTB isnโt just about brunch. Itโs about belonging.
Because real life doesnโt happen in status updates or perfectly filtered squares.
Real life happens around the table. It happens when you pull up a chair, let your guard down, and say, โIโm here.โ
Itโs laughter and tears and waffles and awkward name tags and โOh my gosh, me too.โItโs hugging someone goodbye who was a stranger 90 minutes earlier.
๐ซ So if youโre on the fence, hereโs our final word:
Come.
Come exactly as you are.
Big energy or quiet presence. Post-breakup, in-between jobs, new to the city, spiritually searching, socially exhaustedโcome anyway.Because this community was built for women like you.
Women who are brave enough to risk being seen.
Women who are tired of surface-level connection and craving something real.
Women who are done waiting to be invited, and instead are choosing to show up for their own lives.Thereโs a seat for you.
We saved it.Now all thatโs left is for you to sit down. ๐

Hey lovelyโletโs talk tickets real quick ๐
At Gals That Brunch, weโre all about creating accessible, beautiful, joy-filled spaces for connectionโand we work hard behind the scenes to make that happen. Because weโre not a big business (weโre a small but mighty volunteer-run team ๐ช), all RSVP fees are non-refundable and go directly toward bringing these events to life.
Hereโs the thing: income isnโt being generated from these eventsโweโre not in it for profit. In fact, many times we host events at a personal loss, just to keep them going for the gals who need them most.
Your RSVP fee helps cover things like:
โจ Credit card + transaction fees (yep, every ticket processed costs us)
โจ Pretty emails, our website, translation tools, booking systems, and more
โจ Deposits to venues, supplies, signage, giveaways, name tagsโand allll the behind-the-scenes magic that makes our community what it isWe're asking for the minimum needed to keep things running smoothly while also honoring our promise to keep events as accessible and inclusive as possible.
๐๏ธ Canโt make it anymore? Hereโs what to do:
Tickets are fully transferable! ๐
If something comes up (life happens!), you're welcome to gift or sell your ticket to another gal. We recommend posting it in our San Diego Chapter Facebook Group where someone will almost always scoop it up.โ๏ธ Whoever takes your ticket will simply check in under your name at the event
โ๏ธ Please make sure to notify the event host once your ticket has been transferred so we can keep track
โ๏ธ This helps you avoid being marked as a no-show, and ensures your spot still gets filledP.S. โ We donโt have the admin bandwidth to manage every ticket transfer or chase down details (remember: tiny team!). So we count on you to handle your swaps directly.
๐ What about refunds?
In rare cases, if you let us know at least 14 days in advance, and if your ticket funds havenโt already been spent (on deposits, supplies, minimums, etc.), we might be able to issue a partial refund (minus taxes + fees). But this is not guaranteed, especially for highly curated or pre-paid events.
If thereโs enough lead time, weโre happy to try to help resell your ticketโbut if the event ends up under-attended or undersold, we unfortunately canโt issue a refund.
๐ Thank you
We hope you knowโyour RSVP doesnโt just save a seat. It helps fund the mission behind this whole thing: making friendship easier, community accessible, and real-life connection more possible in a world that so desperately needs it.
Weโre so grateful for your understanding, your heart, and your presence.
See you at the table soon ๐ฅ -
Every event is a little differentโbecause every space, every group, and every moment carries its own magic.
Some are cozy and intimate. Others? Packed to the brim with gals pulling up extra chairs and scooting over to make space for one more. We always try to make room at the tableโbecause we believe everyone deserves one.
We serve 500-1000 gals every single month. Some events are as small as 7 people deep, others are 50+, and many land somewhere in between. And no matter the size, youโll always find a beautiful mix: some gals coming for the very first time, others whoโve been with us since the early days and are now part of the OG crew.
We host a wide array of events every month designed to help you build real-life, soul-filling friendships. From casual hangs to curated moments, weโre here to help you create the reps + rhythm you need to make and keep meaningful connections. (Fun fact: studies show it takes over 200 hours to form a deep friendshipโour 10, 12, sometimes 16 events a month are designed to help you build those hours. Consistently. Gently. Joyfully.)
Hereโs what youโll typically find:
๐ซถ Organic Events
Our most common and most accessible event styleโlow-fee, deposit or free. These are the โpull up a chair, come as you areโ moments.
We make the plans, book the resys, and all you have to do is just show up.
Messy bun, no makeup, solo or with a friend. These are the events where you come as you are and leave with new friends.๐จ Curated Events
Sometimes we add a little โจextraโจ. A rooftop brunch, a themed experience, a boutique collab, a creative workshop.
These often carry a higher ticket price to reflect the added activities, vendors, or experienceโbut we always keep accessibility at the forefront.
These are elevatedโnot exclusive.๐ All-In Events
Occasionally, we go all out. Think: food, drinks, gifts, surprises, maybe a photographer.
These are fewer and farther between, but when they happenโyouโll be talking about them for months. So if youโre wondering where to start, the answer is easy: wherever your heart says yes.
Thereโs no wrong answer.Because hereโs whatโs true:
Weโre not here to entertain. Weโre here to build community.Letโs face itโSan Diego doesnโt have a shortage of fun things to do.
What it does have is a shortage of spaces that go beyond the surface.
And thatโs what weโre here for.Our events are designed to:
โจ Create connection in a no-pressure way
โจ Make the city feel a little smaller and a lot more friendly
โจ Help you navigate this post-college, post-transition, post-everything season where friendship feels harder than it shouldBecause no one really prepares you for how weird and wonderful adult friendships can be.
New jobs, breakups, moves, motherhood, promotions, heartbreak, healingโ
Itโs all better when youโre not doing it alone. We come together to support, encourage, and champion the women in our city.
We show up to eat pancakes, share stories, celebrate wins, cry when we need to, and grow into something bigger than our individual experiences. And lookโwe get it. Social media feels like connectionโฆ
But it doesnโt hold your hand.
It doesnโt hug you.
It doesnโt ask how your day was and actually listen. As human beings, we are literally hardwired for community.
We were made for this.GTB helps solve that.
The table is where real life happens.
Where phones go down, eyes lift up, and hearts soften.
Itโs where you see people walk in a little heavy and walk out just a bit shinier and brighterโafter finally getting to just be.So come exactly as you are.
Big energy, quiet presence, in-between season and all.Because this?
This is the table where the real stuff happens. -
We serve women navigating the realities of adulthood in all its forms.
The messy. The magical. The mundane. The magnificent. We are women from all walks of lifeโwoven together by curiosity, courage, and a deep desire for connection.
Weโre made up of every background, body type, belief system, and storyโand we wouldnโt have it any other way.
We all may love, vote, worship, and work a little differentlyโbut when we gather?
Itโs nothing short of breathtaking.
Truly, the 8th wonder of the world. Our community includes creatives and caretakers, teachers and techies, stay-at-home mamas and students, entrepreneurs and dreamers, women whoโve built empires and women just beginning to whisper โmaybe I could try.โ
And the one thing we all have in common?
Weโre human.
Weโre real.
And weโre better together.Weโre not here to competeโweโre here to connect.
Weโre not here to impressโweโre here to belong.
Weโre not here to fit into a boxโweโre here to break the mold.So who shows up at brunch?
โจ Women figuring it out. โจ Women whoโve figured some things out. โจ Women who thought they had it all figured out until last week. โจ Women who are rebuilding. Reimagining. Returning to themselves.
You might be:
Navigating school, just graduated, or a young professional slaying your goals.
Quietly rebuilding after something hard, or finally stepping into something big.
In your โI quit it all and moved into a vanโ era.
Single and searching. Married and learning. Newly dating or freshly heartbroken.
A mama with macaroni in your hairโฆ or a mama whose kids now have more of a social life than you.
In transition. In your groove. In need of something real.
We donโt lead with ageโwe lead with season.
This isnโt about how old you are.
Itโs about what you're navigating, what you're carrying, and what youโre longing to find.Whether you're new in town or born and raised here.
Starting over or just starting out.
Wrestling with who youโve been or blooming into who youโre becomingโThereโs room for you here.
Not just a seat. A place.Because Gals That Brunch isnโt about checking a box.
Itโs about creating spaces where women are seen, celebrated, and set free to be their whole selves. And girlโฆ we saved you a seat. ๐
-
Hey galโcan we have a lilโ heart-to-heart? ๐
We know life happens. Schedules change. Plans shift. Emergencies pop up.
And we hold space for all of it. We truly do. But alsoโฆWe canโt operate like everyone is the exception, ya know? ๐
So hereโs your soft and sparkly RSVP reminderโequal parts gentle accountability and full-body hug.As much as we love a good dramatic entrance (fashionably late and fabulous, of course),
thereโs something important we need you to know:
If you wake up on a Saturday or Sunday and those sign-up jitters hitโฆ
If you're tired from the night before or feeling like your presence might not make a differenceโฆPause. Take a breath. And hear this, loud and clear:
You. showing. up. matters. When you donโt come, we all miss out on your magic.
This isnโt just about a name on a list or a seat at a tableโ
This community? Itโs built on the real-deal hearts of women like you.
Your laugh. Your presence. Your awkward parking story or mimosa mishapโ
Itโs all part of the joy. And itโs never the same without you.Letโs also talk about the why behind RSVPs and those little fees we attach to events:
We donโt charge to be exclusiveโwe charge to be excellent.
That fee goes back into creating something beautiful:
๐ธ Signs, name tags, welcome cards, venue deposits, supplies, surprises, and alllll the little details that make this thing feel intentional and full of love.So when someone ghosts or bails last minute?
Itโs not just a missed chair. Itโs a missed opportunityโ
for another gal on the waitlist to be seen, known, included, and celebrated.
Itโs also a resource we no longer get to steward well. And girl, we want to steward this well.
Weโve bargained, emailed, prayed, and probably even begged for those reservations ๐โ
so when we say it matters, we mean it from the top of our coffee mugs to the tips of our croissant crumbs.More than anything thoughโฆ this policy isnโt about rules.
Itโs about love. Itโs about honor. Itโs about respecting the sacred space weโre building hereโtogether.
Itโs how we care for one another.
Itโs how we show up for each other.
And itโs how we build a culture where no one gets left out, overlooked, or forgotten. So if something does come up (and we know it might), just let us know.
No guilt. No shame. Just communication and care.
Weโll always hold space for your humanity hereโbut we also believe in showing up for one another with honesty, grace, and kindness. This isnโt a party. Itโs a movement.
This isnโt about perfection. Itโs about presence.
This isnโt just a seat at the table. Itโs a chance to help set it.And you, dear gal, are such an important part of it all.
We love you. Weโre cheering for you.
And we canโt wait to see you at brunch. ๐โ Your GTB San Diego Team
-
Gals That Brunch is more than bubbly bevs and photo-worthy momentsโitโs a quiet revolution.
A movement born from a deep ache weโve all felt: the ache of loneliness, disconnection, and the question, โWhere do I belong?โYes, we brunch. Yes, we celebrate. Yes, weโre here for the charcuterie boards and cinnamon roll pancakes.
But at our core, weโre here for something far more meaningful. We gather to break chains, not just breadโchains of isolation, shame, comparison, and the myth that we have to do life alone.
Our ethos is grounded in:
๐ฟ Honor โ We see people as sacred and treat them accordingly.
๐ฟ Wholeness โ We show up fully, mess and all.
๐ฟ Freedom โ We reject shame and pressure, and make room for real, messy, beautiful humanity.
๐ฟ Diversity โ We believe the table gets more beautiful with every story added to it.
๐ฟ Intimacy โ We crave more than small talkโwe build connection that nourishes the soul.Close your eyes and imagine a flourishing San Diego.
Local businesses thriving. Women walking in freedom. Real-life friendships replacing digital facades.
A city impactedโnot by influencers or trendsโbut by women who chose to show up with radical kindness, contagious joy, and a heart to love people well. This is who we are. This is what weโre building.
Weโre not just inviting you to sit with us.
Weโre inviting you to be part of a ripple effectโone that reaches beyond the brunch table and into homes, cities, and generations.Youโre not just a guest here.
Youโre a co-builder of something sacred. So if youโve been craving real, life-giving community and a space where you donโt have to shrink, hustle, or perform...
This is your invitation.Come as you are.
Stay for the soul revival.
And know thisโyour seat at the table has always been waiting. -
From our hearts to yours
We believe in long tables. The kind where you pull up a chair, even if itโs your first time.
Where someone looks up, sees you, and says โHey, we saved you a seat.โ
Thatโs what weโre building here.Because hereโs the thing:
The strongest communitiesโthe ones that hold up under pressure, the ones that lastโare the ones where everyone belongs. Not because we all look or think or believe the sameโฆ but because we show up with kindness, with courage, and with open hands. At Gals That Brunch, we welcome women of all ages, stories, backgrounds, and beliefs.
We are made better, braver, and more beautiful because of our diversity.
We donโt just tolerate differences. We celebrate them.Weโre a community made up of women from every walk of life.
Different cultures. Different belief systems.
Different ways of voting, thinking, loving, worshiping, and living.
And we love that about us.Because real connection isnโt built on perfect agreementโitโs built on respect, curiosity, and the courage to keep showing up for each other.
While we donโt shy away from the hard stuff, we want you to know:
We are a bi-partisan, people-first, radically welcoming space.
That means we care more about how we treat each other...
We lead with empathy. We listen without shame. We stay soft even when the world wants us to get hard.We know that some might call that naรฏve. Or privileged. Or โplaying it safe.โ
But we call it brave.
Because in a world thatโs constantly trying to tear people apartโ
weโre committed to weaving people together. We are a community built on:
๐ Radical kindness โ the kind that shows up with snacks, saves a seat, and speaks with softness even when itโs hard
๐ Unshakeable inclusivity โ every body, every background, every belief system has a place here
๐ซถ Shared responsibility โ this isnโt a business, itโs a sisterhood. That means we all carry the culture, we all clean up the table, we all make the magic
๐ซ Zero tolerance for hate โ or anything that diminishes someoneโs worth, dignity, or humanity
We will always protect the sacredness of this space.
We will always choose kindness over coolness.
We will always lean into grace, even when itโs messy. Especially then.So if youโre wondering if youโll fit in hereโyes.
If youโre wondering if we meant you when we said โevery womanโโyes.
If youโve ever longed for a place to laugh, cry, be silly, be real, or just beโyes. This is not just a seat at the table.
Itโs an invitation to help set it.Weโre so glad youโre here.
You belong. ๐ -
While weโre out here sipping lattes and forming life-giving friendships, weโre also holding something sacred.
This isnโt just brunch. Itโs a movement. Itโs a culture. Itโs a privilege. If you're repping GTB (online or IRL), know that you're an extension of this beautiful community.
Youโre part of something biggerโand we take that seriously.Over the last almost 10 years, weโve built something that doesnโt happen by accident.
Itโs been cultivated with intentionality, tenderness, and fierce love.
And every gal who walks through the door becomes part of holding that sacred space.
Whether itโs your first time or your 200th, you are a culture carrier.Weโve spent a decade building a community marked by:
โจ Extreme generosity
โจ Radical love
โจ Honor in action
โจ Over-the-top inclusivity
โจ And a whole lotta hope-filled, joy-soaked energySo hereโs what that means in real-life termsโhow we live it out together, every single time:
๐ท We honor every space weโre invited into.
These restaurants, patios, and venues donโt owe us anything.
We show up with gratitude, gentleness, and grace.
And yesโwe always leave it better than we found it.
That means cleaning up after ourselves, being courteous to staff, and never forgetting that our presence should feel like a gift.We understand that we are often a large group and that hosting us requires extra patience, coordination, and flexibility. So we lead with kindness, and we overcommunicate joy and gratitude. Thatโs the GTB way.
๐ซ GTB is a drug-free, drama-free, diva-free space.
We know this might go without sayingโbut around here, we like to say the good things out loud.Gals That Brunch is about creating a soft landing place. A space where women can show up fully, breathe a little easier, and feel safeโbody, mind, and spirit.
To help protect that for everyone, we ask that our events remain drug-free. Not out of judgment or shameโbut out of care.
We never know what someone else is carrying, navigating, or healing from. And part of being in community is honoring that.
So we come with open hearts, clear minds, and a shared desire to be presentโto ourselves, and to one another.
This isnโt a party scene. Itโs a soul scene.
A space for slow mornings, deep laughs, meaningful connection, and maybe a little magic. โจ๐ Kindness is non-negotiable.
Yes, that includes how you speak to fellow attendees and how you treat restaurant staff and venue partners.
Even if someoneโs having an off day. Even if your order is wrong. Even if it would be easier to respond sharply. We are not here to match energyโwe are here to shift culture. We lead with grace. We offer patience. We stand in the gap.
We donโt have to know someoneโs story to treat them with honor.
๐ชฉ You represent GTB everywhere you go.
Whether youโre showing up at a gathering or posting online, you carry the name, the brand, and the energy.Itโs a privilege to be part of this communityโand it should never be abused. We are ambassadors of radical love and intentional community. We speak life, joy, and hopeโbecause the world needs more of it.
๐ซถ Everyone shares the responsibility.
This isnโt a business. Itโs a love-fueled movement.
Itโs powered by volunteers, heart, and community. That means we ALL pitch in:
You welcome someone new.
You help clean up.
You model warmth and inclusion.
You hold the standardโno matter your title or how many events youโve attended.
We believe in leaving places more beautiful than we found themโpeople included.
๐ Inclusivity is our heartbeat.
We are a community of many shapes, sizes, stories, and seasons.
We welcome all women to the tableโand we scoot over, pull up chairs, and make room for every voice. You donโt have to be anything other than yourself to belong here.
Everyone is part of the welcome committeeโeven if itโs your first time.
๐ซ We donโt just set the vibeโwe steward it.
We tend to the atmosphere. We honor each other.
We treat people how we hope to be treatedโeven when itโs hard. Especially then.We bring beauty with us. We shift the energy in a room. We leave spaces softer, sweeter, and more full of life.
We hold the culture like something preciousโbecause it is.
We are not perfectโbut we are intentional.
This community is rare, and itโs real, and itโs a reflection of all the hearts that show up and pour in.This is not just a seat at the table.
Itโs an invitation to help set it.
And weโre so honored youโre here. -
(aka: How generosity makes this whole thing go round)
Hereโs something most people donโt realize: every single Gals That Brunch event costs real money to run. Even the โfreeโ ones. That dreamy zero-dollar coffee hang? Weโre still covering things like web hosting, credit card fees, RSVP software, design tools, group texts, flyers, event graphics, and backend support. Every week, it costs a few hundred dollars just to keep this platform alive and wellโand we gladly do it. But we want you to know the reality:
This is not a business. Itโs a movement.
Itโs a volunteer-run, community-fueled, hope-driven mission to make sure no woman does life alone. From the founder to your cityโs chapter leader to the gal texting you the event reminderโevery single one of us is unpaid and showing up purely out of love.So if youโve ever thought, โWow, this feels like a full-time job,โ youโd be absolutely right. It does. Only weโre doing it for free, late at night, between work shifts, with a cup of cold coffee nearby and Google Docs open. And weโd do it again in a heartbeat. Because this matters. Women finding each other matters. But the real magic is this: weโre just a bunch of women who believe that isolation is not an optionโand weโre committed to figuring it out as we go.
๐ What Are the Ticket Types I See on Events?
When you RSVP for a GTB event, youโll typically see three options:
RSVP + Cover Admin & Processing Fees
This covers the true, behind-the-scenes cost of running that event. These arenโt random numbersโwe base them on real, recurring expenses like web software, tools, supplies, signage, and credit card fees. It helps us keep showing up week after week.RSVP + Pay It Forward
Youโre attending the event and covering the cost for another gal to join. Maybe someone youโll meet that day. Maybe someone you never will. But your generosity is the reason she gets to walk through the door. ๐ซRSVP + Iโll Be the Official Vibes Bringer
This is our friendly, feel-good way of saying this is a sponsored spotโoffered at no cost to you because someone else paid it forward. These are always available when we can offer them, no explanation needed. Weโre trusting you to take the spot when you need it.
We usually open up the same number of Pay-It-Forward spots as Sponsored spots per event (sometimes more, depending on donations and event type). If a sponsored spot is available, it will always be listedโbecause we believe community should never be inaccessible.
๐ Can I Take a Sponsored Spot?
Yes. One thousand times yes.
If you're in a tough season financially, navigating a transition, or simply trying to make things stretchโplease take the spot. Thatโs exactly why itโs there. No explanation required. No application. No shame. Just a seat waiting for you at the table.
We will never ask you to justify it. We will never question your decision. We operate on a foundation of trustโand we want you to feel that trust down to your bones.
But hereโs where we also want to speak with honesty and integrity:
Sponsored spots are designed to meet real needs. They exist because someone else made a conscious decision to pay it forward. So while you never owe us a reason, we simply ask that you use these spots when you need them. With care. With thoughtfulness. With the same heart that built this community in the first place.Because this community was never meant to be exclusiveโit was built to be accessible. Always. That is the heartbeat of GTB. And itโs a trust we hold sacred.
If and when your season shifts, and you're able to give backโwhether itโs $5 toward someoneโs coffee, a future RSVP, or sponsoring a full experienceโwe welcome it with open arms. Thatโs how we keep this whole thing going: women lifting one another up, again and again.
We know San Diego is expensive. Life gets real. And we never want cost to be the reason someone doesnโt find her people. Not here. Not ever.
๐งพ But Waitโฆ If Youโre All Volunteers, Why Do Events Cost Anything?
We love this questionโbecause it gives us a chance to be fully transparent and lead with both grace and clarity.
Yes, we are 100% volunteer-led. No one on our team is paid (not the founder, not the designers, not the chapter leaders). But that doesnโt mean our events are free to run.
Weโve grown to a size where maintaining this community takes more than good vibes and glitter graphics. There are real, recurring expenses that come with keeping Gals That Brunch alive and accessible each weekโincluding:
Website hosting + domain fees
Credit card + processing fees
RSVP platforms + event software
Canva Pro + design tools
Communication tools + automations
Social scheduling + email platforms
Flyers, graphics, signage, and marketing
Onboarding Support
And honestly? Hours and hours of unpaid, behind-the-scenes work
๐ For our curated events (like winery takeovers, boat days, workshops, or special holiday brunches)...
100% of your ticket goes directly into producing the event. This includes venue reservations, vendors, supplies, rentals, staffing fees, insurance, and all the logistics that make magic feel effortless. In most cases, weโre not even covering backend or admin costsโbecause weโre actively working to keep things as affordable and inclusive as possible.
But hereโs the hard truth:
Sometimes we still operate at a loss.If we pre-pay for a minimum headcount and fewer gals show upโor if we buy supplies that donโt get usedโwe eat that cost. And stillโฆ we show up. We donโt cancel. We donโt pull back. We keep saying yes to the vision because we believe in it that much.
๐ก So why do "free" events still have RSVP fees?
Even for the zero-dollar hangs (like coffee shop pop-ins, WFH coworking mornings, or book club nights), there are invisible costsโprocessing fees, digital infrastructure, scheduling tools, and yes, time. Lots and lots of time.
When you see an RSVP option labeled "Cover Admin & Processing Fees," youโre simply helping us break even on the tools that make GTB possible. That $4โ$7 might not look like much, but it adds upโand itโs what keeps this whole ecosystem alive.
This isnโt profit. Itโs not income.
Itโs purpose.
Itโs people.
Itโs women saying yes to building something that lasts. So next time you grab a spot at brunch or attend a community hang, know this: your RSVP is more than a ticket. Itโs a tiny, beautiful act of participation in something way bigger than a mimosa and a cute photo. You're helping us make sure thereโs always room for someone else at the table.
And we think thatโs pretty incredible.
๐ซ I Want to Help. How Can I Sponsor, Give, or Partner?

๐ฅ In Closing (aka The Heart Behind It All)

Youโre saying yes to being part of something bigger.Youโre joining a sisterhood that runs on compassion, trust, and a shared belief that no woman should do life alone.
Every hug, every new friend, every sponsored RSVPโitโs all a brick in the foundation of a future weโre building together.
So whether youโre giving or receiving today, weโre just so glad youโre here.
We mean that. Truly. And the next time you see a chapter leader, co-host, or volunteer, give her the biggest hug and say thank you. Sheโs showing up unpaid, behind the scenes, and heart-wide-open.
Letโs keep building this togetherโwith sparkle, transparency, and that signature GTB love. ๐
