Gals That Brunch - San Diego Chapter | Wellness Walks crew
GTB Member Feature: Meet Your Wellness Walks Host, Bridgette "Bridge" Walton ๐ฟโจ
Hormone Coach in San Diego | Friend-Making, Energy-Protecting, Latte-Loving Queen
Here's the heart underneath everything we do: at Gals That Brunch (GTB), our mission isn't just to eradicate loneliness or help you make friends in San Diego, it's to see YOU thrive in every single area of your life. The beauty of community is connection AND growth. We're kind of obsessed with growing together, cheering together, becoming together, adulting together, lifing together.
So yes, we'll introduce you to your new brunch besties (prepare the group chat explosion). And while we're at it, we'll also keep bringing the tools and resources that champion your whole self: financial health, growth-mindedness, wellness, creativity, purpose, personal and career development, entrepreneurship, you name it.
Because a community worth keeping doesn't leave you where it found you. We're growing together, and that's our favorite part of all of this.
How We Met Bridge (laptops, lattes, and "waitโtell me MORE!")
Picture the scene: our San Diego Work-From-Home Coffee Dateโlaptops open, iced lattes sweating, the collective hum of women actually getting things done AND making friends while doing it. Bridge slid in with her warm smile and that generous heart of hers, and during our winter Skillshare series (aka adult show-and-tell), she started dropping tiny, practical hormone nuggets that made the whole room lean in like someone just whispered the Wi-Fi password to abundant energy.
You know that "ohhhhโso THAT'S why I feel like this" feeling? Exactly. We were fascinated, we took notes, and we collectively exhaled because finally someone was talking about our bodies like they weren't the enemy.
Then this summer, Bridge offered to host a cutie-pie Wellness Walk + Talks series for the community. Immediate yes. Duh. And also, what an incredible honor. She's been steady, welcoming, consistent, and low-pressureโrooted in real careโthe textbook definition of a GTB community leader. Which is why we're squealing to finally introduce her properly, champion her loudly, and invite you to come meet her IRL.

Meet Bridget Walton:
(The full interview so you can get to know our girl)
What's your go-to brunch orderโsweet or savory, and what are you sipping?
Bridget: I'm definitely a savory brunch gal! My go-to order is usually a breakfast burrito or anything that has goat cheeseโI literally cannot get enough goat cheese, I love it so much.
Do you have a fave San Diego brunch spot yet (or one you're currently crushing on)?
Bridget: Lately I have been all-in on Wildland in Carlsbad! They have a honey olive oil latte that is on my mind 95% of the time. Admittedly, I'll eat my "normal" breakfast at home and then just head there for the latte and their tiramisu before a walk along the beach.
From your lens as a hormone coach, what's one thing you wish our generation of women would really take hold of?
Bridget: I would love to see a generation of women who feel empowered to push back on some of the things that we've been taught are just "normal." We're accustomed to tolerating so much when it comes to feeling exhausted, unruly PMS, having chaotic periods... and often we just ignore those red flags so we can focus on our career, family, etc. But when we prioritize our health and fix those imbalances, we have THAT much more energy and focus to devote to the things that we love and we can just go out and crush it while actually feeling strong in our bodies.
Outside of coaching, what's lighting you up right nowโa hobby, ritual, or simple joy we should all try? Bridget: As it's been getting cooler, my simple joy is heading to the beach and bundling up in my jacket and blanket to watch the sunset. It's the perfect reason to put down work for the day once daylight savings time comes around and start to wind down for the day either by myself or with my boyfriend.
Favorite San Diego hidden gem?
Bridget: Hinar is a Kurdish cafe in East Village that has the tastiest desserts and lattes. I don't go down to San Diego often (I live in Encinitas) but when I do, I'm swinging by Hinar every. single. time.
Currently listening to?
Bridget: The Measure by Nikki Erlick on audiobook; it's a novel about a world where at age 22, every person receives a box with information about how long their life will be. Definitely a good book club pick to discuss!
What tiny habit or boundary has most improved your energy lately?
Bridget: I've never been happier to decline plans, suggest a new time, or depart an event early so I can get to bed early. It's not rocket science, but I really notice that I feel so much better when I have my nighttime routine and get to bed early, so I've been prioritizing it lately.
What's one hormone myth you'd love to lovingly retire once and for all?
Bridget: A lot of us think that PMS, cramps, feeling really tired, etc. are just "normal parts of being a woman." I'd love to dispel that and encourage women to recognize that when these things pop up, it's their body trying to signal to them what it needs. Being miserable every month and hating your period shouldn't be considered "normal."
GTB first-timer tip:
Bridget: Don't be afraid to make follow-on plans with the gals that you meet! I love seeing when the women who join the monthly Wellness Walk + Talks make plans to get together again since most of us are coming to GTB for those friendships and connections already!

Why Wellness Walks = instant bestie energy (with actual takeaways)
We keep these walks simple on purpose: gentle movement, fresh air, and real conversation that feels like an exhale. You'll leave with one or two actually doable tipsโcycle-syncing basics, blood-sugar-friendly plate-building (protein/fiber/fat), cravings SOS, bloat calm, bedtime boundaries that actually stick and you'll collect those "let's hang again" moments that turn into brunch dates, coastal strolls, and group chats that light up your phone in the best way.
If you're scouting events in San Diego to make friends, this is the coziest on-ramp: no performance, no pressure, just connection that feels as natural as breathing. Bridge picks a topic each month, we do our cute little walkie-walk, grab coffees at GOODONYA (hello and thank you GOODONYA for being such amazing hosts!), and cover some basics around nutrition, sleep, hormonal health, and all the different ways to feel like yourself again.
Psst, shy babes: Every month a big slice of our attendees are first-timers. You might walk in solo, but we're absolutely not letting you walk out that way.
Come meet BridgeT IRL (and your new walking buddy) ๐๐ At our next wellness walk + talk

Why this matters (and why we're shouting about Bridge from the rooftops)
Because friendship is better with context, care, and continuity. Because making friends in San Diego shouldn't require a personality transplant or perfect timingโit should be as simple as "see you Thursday." Because your wellness, your work, your creativity, and your calling deserve a circle that claps when you walk in the room. Bridge embodies that heart: kind, practical, steady, and so completely for you.
If you've been asking "where do adults meet their friends?" or "what is the app to meet people in San Diego?"โhi, it's us. We made the thing you've been looking for.
A love note to our girl Bridge ๐
Bridge, we absolutely adore you. Thank you for pouring your wisdom into this community with so much warmth and clarity. You make wellness feel welcoming instead of intimidating. You make connection feel easy instead of forced. And you remind us that we don't have to choose between taking care of our bodies and building the lives we love, we get to do both, and we get to do it together, as a community :).
To every San Diego gal reading this who's been craving her people, her rhythm, her place to belong: come sit with us. You might walk in solo, but we're absolutely not letting you walk out that way.
Come for the walk. Stay for the women. Leave with your people.
๐ RSVP now for Wellness Walk + Talks โ and bring a friend who's been whispering "I'm ready for something new."
